Heist Toronto, a boutique design house run by Colin and Sean Chow, paired up with Breeyn to create a hand-made companion book as an addendum to her Hard-boiled Wonderland Collection. That collection was inspired by Hard-boiled Wonderland and the End of The World, a novel by Haruki Murakami, and “The Ruins of Detroit”, a photography series by Yves Marchand and Romain Meffre. Adorned with lyrics from Wolf in a Spacesuit’s Bark of A Cedar, Sean hand-painted images from the collection’s lookbook. The book is a true collaboration involving the work of several very talented artists from different media. Heist is also responsible for the logo set and word mark of Breeyn McCarney’s label, and built the foundation for the branding of the company.
